Courtney Hatch and I have a booth at the Holladay Harvest this year. I will have pinnies, baby gifts, aprons and hooter hiders for sale and Court will have those darling cake platters, candles, jewelry holders and more. It should be a pretty fun venue. It starts this Saturday and goes thru September 18th. Check it out...

The Food Network is my Favorite Channel
Anytime I have the TV on it's either on Disney Channel or Food Network. Since Will was born my culinary experimentation has ceased. Chris is lucky to get dinner at all. But here are a few I have tried and LOVE...
Crostini alla Romana, of coarse form Giada De Laurentiis (she is my hero, a great cook, a great mom and beautiful). This was soooo good. The sage butter really does the trick. It's rich though so just serve it with a salad. Click on the link below for the recipe.
This is a little better than the one in the box. It's Ina Garten's Mac and Cheese. Between Chris and Halle I was lucky to get any in the pan for the final oven bake. I would maybe add some chicken next time. Your kids wont even notice.
Ok the dessert I have been dying over is Chocolate Hazelnut Ravioli from Giada. They are just like Bignets. Unfortunately there is no picture to temp you but, beleive me, they will change your life. If you have a burner on your bbq make theses outside because you are frying.

the remodel: before and after
before
I wish I had taken more pictures of this horrible kitchen and I didn't take any of the entry or living room. Just imagine HORRIBLE! Terracotta tile, olive green paint and grey carpet, just to name a few of the atrocities.
after
I saw the tree wallpaper in a tile catalog and fell in love. It is Woods by Cole & Son. I had to order it from London but have since learned that Walls (http://wallsthecolourstore.com/) carries it along with other fun and funky wallpapers.
All of our painting was done my Mitch Cypers from 3rd Generation Painting (801.603.0889). He did an awesome job and helped with the paint colors (ok he thought I was a little crazy).
Wayne at North Davis Cabinet did all of our cabinetry. He was very professional and had everything ready in 4 weeks.
Start to finish this thing only took about 6 weeks. That's the good part of remodelling in a bad economy.

Will is here!
William Robert Hatch arrived Wednesday, July 28th at 6:23 pm. He was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long. He is very handsome and a really chill baby so far. We deserve it after Halle.
